본 연구는 (주)튜터러스랩스의 "사람처럼 개념적으로 이해·추론이 가능한 복합인공지능 원천기술 연구"와 연계하여, 학습자가 수학 개념과 문제를 텍스트·이미지로 질문하면 AI 튜터가 대화 방식으로 설명과 피드백을 제공하는 복합지능 AI 튜터링 시스템의 사용성을 평가하는 것을 목표로 합니다. 이를 위해 ①복합지능 AI 튜터링 시스템 및 교육용 AI 서비스에 대한 선행 조사와 사용성 평가 프레임워크 설계, ②도형·수식·표·그래프 등 이미지가 포함된 멀티모달 입력 환경에서의 시스템 반응 및 설명 품질 평가, ③중·고등학생 및 대학 신입생을 대상으로 한 실사용 기반 사용성 평가(인터페이스 직관성, 입력 편의성, 응답 이해도, 학습 지원 효과)를 정량·정성적으로 수행하고, ④선행 조사와 평가 결과를 통합한 실증 논문 형태의 결과 보고서를 도출합니다. 이를 통해 복합지능 AI 튜터링 시스템의 활용 가능성과 개선 방향을 제시하고, 향후 교육 현장 적용 및 시스템 고도화를 위한 기초 자료를 제공하고자 합니다.

English Summary:

This study aims to evaluate the usability of a compound AI tutoring system in which learners ask about mathematical concepts and problems using both text and images, and an AI tutor provides conversational explanations and feedback. Conducted in connection with TutorusLabs' research on foundational compound-AI technology capable of human-like conceptual understanding and reasoning, the study is carried out through ① a preliminary survey of composite-intelligence AI tutoring systems and educational AI services and the design of a usability evaluation framework, ② evaluation of the system's responses and explanation quality in multimodal input environments that include figures, equations, tables, and graphs as well as text, ③ user-based usability evaluation with middle and high school students and first-year university students—assessing interface intuitiveness, input convenience, response comprehensibility, and learning-support effectiveness through combined quantitative and qualitative analysis, and ④ the derivation of an empirical research report integrating the preliminary survey and evaluation results. The outcomes present the applicability and improvement directions of the compound AI tutoring system, providing foundational data for future application in educational settings and system advancement.
